* Harambe the gorilla, who became a viral sensation in 2016, will have a presence at the festival. * A special Harambe tribute will take place on Saturday. * There will also be Harambe-themed merchandise, food, and art installations.

Westfest, one of the Southeast’s biggest Labor Day weekend music festivals, is making a major comeback in 2023 after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The four-day festival will take place from Friday, September 1 to Monday, September 4, at Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark in Birmingham, Alabama.

The festival will feature over 200 national, regional, and local artists performing on 10 stages. Headlining the festival on Friday is Jason Derulo, known for his hit songs "Swalla" and "Talk Dirty." On Saturday, country music star Jake Owen will take the stage. Sunday's headliner is Nelly, the Grammy-winning rapper behind hits like "Hot in Herre" and "Dilemma." The festival will close out on Monday with a special tribute to Elvis Presley, featuring over 40 Elvis Tribute Artists.

In addition to the music, Westfest will also feature a variety of food, art, and activities for all ages. There will be a Ferris wheel, a zip line, and a rock climbing wall. There will also be a variety of food vendors, including local favorites like Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q and Dreamcakes.
