Denver Nuggets Win Eighth Straight, Beat Lakers 114-103
Jokic Dominates, LeBron Falls Short
Denver, Colo. - Nikola Jokic put up another monster performance as the Denver Nuggets beat the Los Angeles Lakers 114-103 on Saturday night.
Jokic finished with 30 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists for his eighth triple-double of the season. He was a force on both ends of the floor, leading the Nuggets in scoring, rebounding, and assists.
LeBron James led the Lakers with 26 points, but he was not enough to overcome Jokic and the Nuggets. James missed a potential game-tying three-pointer with seconds remaining, and the Nuggets held on for the win.
The win was the Nuggets' eighth straight and improved their record to 22-10. The Lakers fell to 17-15 with the loss.
The Nuggets will be back in action on Monday night when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Lakers will be back in action on Tuesday night when they host the Golden State Warriors.
